Madurai, the temple town rich in culture, was the third stop on 17th April 2025, hosted at the welcoming Courtyard by Marriott.
Luxury planners of the city gathered, and the conversations were refreshingly candid. Abu Dhabi’s blend of tradition and modernity resonated with planners who often cater to culturally rooted South Indian weddings.
“I can see Abu Dhabi working brilliantly for Tamil weddings — the respect for rituals, space for grand ceremonies, and modern luxury combined. We will definitely pitch Abu Dhabi to our clients now,” said Senthil, Founder- Hello Events
The stakeholders discussed how their venues could tailor weddings to specific cultural traditions, offering custom mandaps, vegetarian feasts, and VVIP experiences that are truly unique and exude grandeur.
“From lavish ballroom sangeets to quiet, scenic pheras at golf resorts, we offer flexibility for Indian weddings of all scales and our proximity to the airport adds the cherry on the cake,” explained Ms Elah from VOGO Golf Resort.
The deep-dive session helped Madurai’s planners rethink destination weddings beyond the usual suspects — unlocking new creative possibilities for their clients.
